Job Title: Linux Support Engineer

 

We are looking for a skilled Linux Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our customers.

 

About the Role:

 

  • L2/L3 Support: Provide technical support for Linux systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and configuration.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all technical activities are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulations.
  • ITIL Processes: Operate under ITIL processes, including incident, change, problem, and knowledge management.
  • High Availability: Maintain high availability, performance, and security of Linux systems, and participate in DR/BCP drills.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
  • Configuration Management: Tune configurations and schedule jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate vendor TAC cases, firmware/patch planning, and validate post-change health.
  • Documentation: Demonstrate strong documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • 24x7 Support: Ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

We are looking for candidates with:

 

  • 6+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • RHEL, CentOS, Debian GNU, FreeBSD, and Ubuntu experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Linux Virtualization and Non x86 Linux.
