The Role

You will work within our custom WordPress engine (themes, plugins, internal tools).

  • Develop and maintain advanced Gutenberg blocks, leveraging hooks, APIs, and custom theme logic.
  • Optimize database queries and code execution (profiling, debugging, chasing wasted milliseconds and memory leaks).
  • Integrate with REST APIs and support complex integrations/microservices.
  • Work daily in Docker/Podman environments (WP-CLI, container operations, Linux commands).
Required Skills

To excel in this role, you must master the following skills:

  • Deep expertise in PHP and the WordPress ecosystem (hooks, APIs, plugins, themes, Gutenberg).
  • Strong SQL skills and proven experience optimizing queries for performance.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservice integration patterns.
  • React experience, especially for Gutenberg block development.
  • Comfortable with Docker/Podman workflows and Linux environments (WP-CLI, file manipulation, container ops).
  • A performance-minded developer: profiling, measuring, and optimizing code execution.
  • Good command of HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6).
