Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatics Scientist with a strong background in bioinformatics or biotechnology and hands-on experience in clinical projects. The ideal candidate will possess expertise across multiple data types, including single-cell, proteomics, and metabolomics, as well as familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) integration.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of biology, data science, and customer collaboration. As a key member of our team, you will apply your deep understanding of biological principles and computational methods to analyze high-dimensional omics data, generate actionable insights, and support our clients in solving complex biological problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing multi-omics biological data using state-of-the-art statistical methods to derive relevant insights.
  • Developing scalable solutions to present compelling scientific presentations and address complex biological challenges.
  • Innovating tool development to optimize algorithms and pipelines for data analysis and visualization.
  • Contributing to knowledge graph construction and structured data models, ensuring datasets are AI/ML-ready for downstream applications.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in processing and analyzing omics data using predefined/custom end-to-end analysis workflows.
  • Proficiency in programming languages used for data analysis, such as Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured big data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Good-to-have:

  • Familiarity with EHR data integration for clinical and translational research.
  • Experience with spatial omics data analysis and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in biomedical data analysis.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies and scalable computing platforms.
