Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading security initiatives, managing risk and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.

• Leverage existing cybersecurity tools and identify open-source solutions to discover threat agent actions.
• Identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies to enable proactive defense mechanisms before actual security incidents occur.
• Design and implement a comprehensive security incident response process.
• Act as the primary control point during significant information security incidents, manage the development of incident response plans and generate detailed reports.
• Propose key information security initiatives, plans, practices and tools to senior management.
• Provide proactive support on approved information security projects, internal/external security audits, internal audits, application security assessments and reviews and compliance.
• Identify and understand emerging information security threats and vulnerabilities and establish effective communication channels across relevant teams.
• Detect and respond to cyber security threats and implement remediation controls.
• Perform GRC assessments on IT infrastructure and applications and prepare mitigation plans.
• Conduct hardening reviews of endpoints, networks and servers.
• Manage security compliance for endpoints, networks, servers, databases etc.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or relevant field.
• Minimum 6 years experience in Cyber Security.
• Strong technical skills relevant to Information Security including SIEM, IDAM, PIM/PAM, Breach Attack Simulation and Micro Segmentation.
• Excellent knowledge and deep understanding of complex network and endpoint security principles and concepts.
• Practical knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Hypervisors.
• Detailed experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and understand remediation.
• Required to assist with root cause identification for incident management.
• Acquainted with Information Security Industry standards/best practices and relevant regulations.
• Proficient analytical, technical research and detail-oriented skills.
• Available to work on-call whenever required.

• Work days: 6 days a week from office.

In addition, they should have a strong understanding of complex network and endpoint security principles and concepts, practical knowledge of operating systems and detailed experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive security incident response process, acting as the primary control point during significant information security incidents and generating detailed reports.

They will also be responsible for proposing key information security initiatives, plans, practices and tools to senior management, providing proactive support on approved information security projects and identifying emerging information security threats and vulnerabilities.

The candidate should be able to work independently, think critically and make informed decisions. They should also be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
