Lead Model Changes

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead and deliver quarterly model changes for our AXIS model. This includes updating assumptions, setting up new business, and implementing efficiency improvements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of US STAT/GAAP regulations and Variable Annuity products. They should also have expertise in Actuarial modeling - Moody's AXIS, including handling scenarios, formula tables, and overrides.

This role requires strong analytical ability and the ability to drive process and analytical improvement initiatives within the team.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering, or equivalent quantitative discipline. They should also have 8-10 years of experience in US life insurance, with a minimum of 4-6 years of life/annuity actuarial modeling in Moody's AXIS.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Science (Statistics/Mathematics/Economics) + actuarial science papers cleared (SOA preferred).

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver quarterly model changes for Moody's AXIS model
  • Perform independent testing and impact quantification
  • Review work done by junior members to ensure quality of work product during time-sensitive deadlines
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients as the primary point of contact for Testing, Valuation, and Risk Management teams
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
