About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Counsellor to join our team at Refining Skills Academy. As a Medical Counsellor, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through their healthcare journey, providing emotional and psychological support, and ensuring they understand each stage of their treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient counselling and support from the beginning of the patient's journey until discharge.
• Assist patients in making informed decisions regarding their healthcare by explaining procedures, options, and expected outcomes.
• Offer regular counselling for patients with long-term conditions, including stress management and emotional support.
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure each patient receives integrated, holistic care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in all interactions, handling information with utmost sensitivity.

Requirements:

• Education: MBBS preferred; candidates with a BHMS degree must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in medical counselling.
• Experience: 0-3 years (for MBBS candidates); at least 10 years (for BHMS candidates) in medical counselling or healthcare consulting.
• Skills: Empathy, strong communication, ability to handle sensitive situations, and skills in liaising effectively with healthcare teams.
• Languages: Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English is essential.
