Storage Infrastructure Management Role

We are seeking an experienced storage infrastructure professional to manage the day-to-day administration of SAN and storage environments.

This role involves collaborating with customer support teams, participating in problem-solving and troubleshooting, supporting storage design, operation, workflow, and issue resolution for storage infrastructure, maintaining systems-level maintenance for storage infrastructure, tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth, and providing storage area network configuration and administration.

  • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity, performing capacity analysis, analyzing performance data and trends, and tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth.
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problems or problem records for root cause analysis, perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices from Hitachi Global Support and company change management policies, interface with assigned Hitachi storage engineers to manage the implementation of all additional storage infrastructure and storage services.
  • Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and de-provisioning of storage solutions, perform capacity tuning, provide remediation recommendations, and oversee performance management for SAN and storage.

Key requirements include 8+ years of experience handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope, experience handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure, exposure to operations and management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), unified compute platforms, various host O/S, including basic cluster management, strong verbal and written communication, and Hitachi technical certification is desirable.
