US Mortgage Pre-Closing Services

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing loan packages and creating Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs). You will also coordinate with Title and Settlement agents to ensure an on-time closing and verify data in the CD.

Purpose:

  • Closers review loan packages and create the Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs)
  • Coordinate with Title and Settlement agents to ensure an on-time closing

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Request fees from settlement agent and perform fee analysis
  2. Prepare Preliminary Closing Disclosure
  3. Issue initial closing disclosures/re-disclosures to client
  4. Have solid and detailed knowledge of Conventional Loans; Closing and Legal Documents; Disclosure Documents; Credit Documents; Insurance Documents; MDIA Disclosure timing and APR rules and TILA/RESPA LE/CDs/ICDs
  5. Review flood insurance/flood certifications, Title commitment, ownership of deed, Loan approval, tax cert and Preliminary Closing Disclosure
  6. Closely monitor individual closing pipeline, workload and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency
  7. Review Power of Attorneys (POA)
  8. Review Cash to close
  9. Create closing documents and monitor required waiting periods
  10. Request preclosing audit prior to Closing
  11. Deliver final closing documents
  12. Review final closing documents and clear to fund
  13. Able to understand regulatory requirements and impacts
  14. Medium - High degree of familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  15. Reviews and prepares disclosures, including Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure
  16. Request wire
  17. Ensure disbursement takes place and loan moves to post close
  18. Ensure proper and effective communication with settlement agent
  19. Review signed closing packages for accuracy
  20. Provide funding authorization to Title/Escrow Agents

Requirements:

  • Requires high school diploma or its equivalent for US Operations and graduation degree for India Operations with 18 months of experience in preparing Initial and Final closing documents
  • Should have knowledge of commonly used mortgage concepts, practices, procedures and Fannie Freddie guidelines to complete task
  • Should have working knowledge with any Loan origination systems
  • Should possess basic knowledge to work on MS office tools
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
