Job Description

AT&T is a leading telecommunications service provider, and its Chief Data Office (CDO) is driving the company's data and AI-driven transformation. As a Manager of Data Analysis, you will play a crucial role in unlocking transformative insights and actions that drive value for the company and its customers.

As a member of the CDO team, you will be responsible for governing data collection and use, mitigating potential bias in machine learning models, and promoting a culture of responsible AI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of data insight employees responsible for developing and delivering IT-related work related to application development, data engineering, science, warehousing, visualization, and analytics.
  • Supervise daily operations in collaboration with other managers and department leaders, and perform administrative tasks such as tracking schedules, generating correspondence, maintaining reports, planning, and coordinating meetings.
  • Develop project plans and roadmaps to tackle key questions and provide direction and guidance based on data, enabling the organization to meet strategic goals.
  • Lead the team to translate complex data science tasks into easily consumable outputs to guide data-driven decisions.
  • Interview and select employees, maintain proper staffing levels, allocate resources, supervise teams' daily operations, productivity, identify areas for improvement, develop action plans to improve performance, develop teams' technical and managerial expertise through on-the-job and formal training opportunities, enforce Company policies, take necessary disciplinary action, evaluate individual performance for annual performance review, merit increases, promotions, and other employment status changes, and conduct long-range planning for the team.
Requirements
  • Team Lead/People Manager
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and keep deadlines
  • Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Effective, versatile, and action-oriented
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Data Science, Data Engineering projects
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing a team of at least 10
  • Must have experience with technical and people management responsibilities
  • Extensive experience in designing applications to work with data and process data at scale
  • Flexible to work in a shift model
  • Strong PySpark/Python skills and experience working in MongoDB, Databricks, and Snowflake
  • Desired to have working knowledge of Cloud Migration projects
  • Familiarity with Gen AI, LLM Workflow, Graph RAG, etc.
