Job Title: Azure Engineer

Orion Innovation is a global business and technology services firm that delivers game-changing business transformation and product development rooted in digital strategy, experience design, and engineering.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and configuring Azure services, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance, and monitoring the performance and health of Azure resources and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure Azure services, including Web Application Firewall V2, Compute, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Load Balancer, Azure Monitor, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Front Door, Azure Private Link, and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Azure services to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation of cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and health of Azure resources and applications using Azure Monitor, and implement optimizations to enhance cost-efficiency and performance.
  • Configure security measures, such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Manage user identities, access controls, and authentication mechanisms using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Azure Active Directory External Identities.
  • Utilize Azure Container Registry for managing Docker container images and deploying containerized applications.
  • Provision and manage Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, and Load Balancers to support application workloads and ensure high availability.
  • Develop automation scripts and templates using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
  • Provisioning solutions for seamless integration and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments using Azure services like Azure Front Door and Azure Private Link.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions, and maintain technical documentation for Azure environments.
  • Stay updated with emerging Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, and continuously enhance skills and knowledge in cloud computing.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide 24x7 support for Azure environments.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and 3-5 years of experience in IT support or cloud computing, with at least 1-2 years of experience specifically in managing Azure environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

AZ300/AZ303 Certification is an added advantage.
