About the Role:
As a CBRE GL Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
This job is part of the Controlling function, which involves the management of the organization's financial controls and the preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders.
You will be responsible for answering escalated questions regarding various accounting issues and reports, preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting statements or financial reports.
Reviewing the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications, evaluating various complex accounting variances, reports, and records, and making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures are also key responsibilities of this role.
Maintaining, recording, and reconciling billings and accounts receivables for large clients, markets, or accounts, creating month-end accounting entries, reconciling discrepancies and posting to the general ledger, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, checking transactions from the subsystem to ensure data is accurately sent, and examining financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and fundamentals.
This role requires a broad knowledge of your own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function, as well as the ability to lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
