Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of electrical designs, drawings, and safety standards at solar project sites.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in electrical design and site execution to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of preparing/modifying site-specific electrical designs/drawings, performing basic electrical design calculations, and ensuring site execution complies with approved drawings, standards, and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Prepare or update site-specific electrical designs/drawings, including cable routing, earthing design, junction box placement, and LT/HT panel room layouts.
  • Site Execution: Ensure site execution complies with approved drawings, standards, and codes, and perform basic electrical design calculations as needed.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams to resolve interdisciplinary design issues and work alongside local procurement & construction team for technical & cost optimal solutions.
  • Commissioning Support: Provide design-related clarifications during energization and maintain site-level design records, approvals, and revisions log.

Qualification & Experience/Skills Requirements:

  • Education: B.E./B.tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design tools and knowledge of CEA, IEC, and IS codes applicable to solar plants.
  • Soft Skills: Strong coordination and communication skills, problem-solving mindset for on-ground technical challenges, and ability to prepare quick and accurate design modifications at site.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in electrical design and site execution (solar/renewable/industrial projects preferred).
