Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe DB2 Developer to join our development team.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS, as well as experience in batch and online processing on IBM Mainframe systems.

They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications using these technologies.

In addition, they will analyze user requirements and translate them into system specifications and technical solutions.

They will also participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT support.

Furthermore, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, and Infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities Include Designing Developing And Maintaining Mainframe Applications Using Cobol Db2 Jcl And Cics Writing Complex Sql Queries Stored Procedures Triggers And Performance Tuning In Db2 Analyzing User Requirements And Translating Them Into System Specifications And Technical Solutions Participating In Code Reviews Unit Testing System Integration Testing And Uat Support Collaborating With Cross Functional Teams Including Business Analysts Qa And Infrastructure Teams Ensuring High Quality And Timely Delivery Of Software Solutions Handling Batch Processing Data Migration And Data Reconciliation Tasks As Needed Providing Production Support And Troubleshooting Db2 Related Performance And Data Issues Maintaining Technical Documentation And Adhering To Coding Standards And Compliance Policies Required Skills & Experience Include 6 To 13 Years Of Hands On Experience In Mainframe Development Strong Expertise In Cobol Db2 Jcl And Cics Proficient In Writing And Optimizing Sql Queries And Db2 Stored Procedures Experience In Batch And Online Processing On IBM Mainframe Systems Strong Understanding Of Software Development Lifecycle SDLC And Agile Methodologies Excellent Problem Solving Skills And Attention To Detail Outstanding Communication Skills And Ability To Work Effectively Within A Team
