International Tax Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - International Taxation to join our team at Ananta Resource Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently conceptualizing and developing client deliverables, drafting and reviewing deliverables for sanity and completeness, and providing expert knowledge and practical experience in planning and preparation of income tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently handling tax assessments, tax litigation, and tax office matters before tax officers, CIT (Appeals), and Tribunal.
- Participating in engaging and briefing with legal counsel on client tax litigation matters.
- Drafting of submissions, appeals, etc. to be filed with the respective tax authorities.
- Well-versed with the Indian Income Tax provisions, DTAAs, and judicial precedents.
- Ability to independently analyze, research, and interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act.
- Effectively and cordially handling team members, managing deliverable timelines, and ensuring work quality and precision.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and research abilities needed for assignments.
- Organized and well-structured at work with high commitment levels.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and confidence to interact with clients in India and overseas.
- Keeping oneself abreast with updates/amendments in tax laws, judicial precedents, etc.
- Number crunching ability.
- Excellent eye for detail and deliberation.
- Efficiency in MS Office and report/submission drafting skills.
- Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks assigned.
- Overall a pleasing personality.
- Developing good rapport with client management.
- Proactive in solving complex problems of client tax matters.
- Making efforts in keeping oneself updated with tax and regulatory changes and encouraging team members/juniors for the same.
Qualification:
Chartered Accountant with experience in International tax/Tax Litigation/DTAAs/Income Tax Compliances and Tax officer representation. Work experience of minimum 4-5 years post-CA qualification. Candidate having a Big 4 work experience will be helpful.
