Position Overview

As a Full Stack Engineer for RingCentral Events, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our virtual event platform. This role demands a strong skill set in frontend development (TypeScript/React) and experience building backend systems ensuring our product's reliability and performance at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a distributed, cross-functional team in designing, building and maintaining a product used by millions of users across the globe. The majority of the team is in Europe, and we expect team members to have at least 5 hours of overlap with EU working hours.
  • Develop dynamic and responsive frontend interfaces using TypeScript and React, tailored for virtual and onsite event experiences.
  • Use technologies like WebSockets, WebRTC and RTMP to develop real-time communication and streaming capabilities.
  • Engineer solutions that are reliable and scalable, catering to a large number of concurrent users both virtually and onsite.
  • Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS, focusing on high availability and scalability.
Qualifications
  • Proven industry experience in building modern web applications using React & TypeScript.
  • Experience building scalable backend systems using a modern tech stack. Node.js/Java/Python/Ruby + Rails preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in building cloud native (AWS) applications for large-scale, high-traffic environments, and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Familiarity with database management (AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL) and caching solutions (Redis).
  • Experience with real-time communication technologies, especially WebSocket, WebRTC and RTMP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with code versioning tools.
