Job Title: Website Tester

We're seeking a meticulous individual to assume the role of a real customer and evaluate websites from start to finish. You'll follow a comprehensive checklist, test the usability of the site, check payment options, and complete small test purchases.

Responsibilities
  • Visit assigned websites and understand their purpose.
  • Follow a step-by-step checklist and record your findings.
  • Test key user flows (like browsing products, adding to cart, and checking out).
  • Spot and report issues like broken links, confusing content, or accessibility problems.
  • Check payment methods (credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple/Google Pay) and complete test transactions.
  • Confirm post-purchase details like order confirmation pages and email receipts.
  • Take screenshots or screen recordings to show what you found.
  • Prioritize issues based on how serious they are and suggest quick fixes.
  • Keep us updated on your progress and report any blockers.

Tools and Technologies
  • Web browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge (on desktop and mobile).
  • Screen capture tools: Loom, CleanShot, or similar.
  • Task tracking: Jira, Asana, Trello.
  • Docs: Google Docs/Sheets, Notion.
