We are seeking a skilled engineer to fill the role of Senior Network Architect.

Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly experienced professional to design, develop, and test complex systems and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ethernet Standards, including IEEE 802.3 (10/100/1000BASE-T, 2.5G/5G/10GBASE-T, NBASE-T, Fiber Optics).

Ethernet PHY ICs are also a requirement, including internal blocks (PCS, PMA, PMD), Auto-negotiation, Link Training, FEC, and Loopbacks.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will be familiar with Media Independent Interfaces (MIIs): MII, RMII, GMII, RGMII, SGMII, XAUI, QSGMII, KR/SR/LR.

A strong background in Layer 2 Switching Concepts is essential, including MAC address learning, VLANs (802.1Q), Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), Link Aggregation (LAG/LACP), and IGMP Snooping.

  1. Excellent debugging skills, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  2. Experience with Ethernet Switch Architectures & Features: QoS, traffic shaping, port mirroring, PTP/NTP would be beneficial.
  3. Linux Kernel Development expertise, particularly device drivers and network stack, is also desirable.
  4. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for test automation and data analysis would be an asset.
  5. Experience with Network Test Equipment, including traffic generators and network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark), would be advantageous.
  6. Knowledge of Microchip VSC, IStax, WebStax, Redboot, and uBoot is required.
