Database Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled database developer with 6+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and storage solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.

About the Role

This position involves designing and implementing scalable, distributed, and highly available database systems for real-time and batch workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL platforms (Cassandra, ScyllaDB, MongoDB, BigQuery).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product engineers to ensure efficient access to data.
  • Optimize query performance, schema design, and indexing strategies.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, backup, recovery, and security across platforms.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native data services on GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL database design and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases: ScyllaDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, BigQuery.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, replication, sharding, and partitioning.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers: AWS (RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift), GCP (BigQuery, Cloud SQL), Azure (Cosmos DB, SQL Database).
  • Strong knowledge of query optimization, schema modeling, and indexing.
  • Good scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation.
