Job Opportunity:

Manage product development, merchandising, sourcing, and supplier management to drive production efficiency.

  • Develop and implement strategies for material sourcing, supplier negotiations, and timely production as per design
  • Coordinate with raw materials, job workers, and internal/external production teams for timely delivery of production
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partners and vendors to achieve best results
  • Evaluate and present pre-development samples to stakeholders
  • Monitor and assess product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on costing to optimize value
  • Source, dispatch, and manage payments including bills of material for bulk orders, sourcing of raw materials, trims, and accessories
  • Visit job workers and factories to track production on a regular basis and manage all kinds of dispatches, coordination with courier partners, invoices, and payments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and specifications
  • Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Collaborate with various teams including Design, Production, Procurement, and Category
  • Maintain detailed logs and updates for fabric, trims, and accessories development and procurement, sampling, and production status
  • Track raw material consumption as per BOM and update master sheets for the website from techpaks

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in product development, buying, merchandising, and production in buying houses, retail brands, export houses, etc.
  • Experience working in startups is an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories and factory supplier base
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong organization skills
