Lead Backend Architect for AI-Powered Applications

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer with expertise in designing and implementing scalable Python-based backend services for AI-driven applications. This role requires a strong foundation in real-time systems, software engineering best practices, and experience mentoring developers.

About the Role:

  • Architect and implement modular, maintainable codebases, including setting up repository structures and database schema design using tools like Pydantic and SQLAlchemy.
  • Design robust APIs with FastAPI, utilizing asynchronous capabilities to ensure high-performance data processing.
  • Integrate task queues using Celery and optimize background processing for efficient application performance.
  • Build and optimize database systems, leveraging MySQL and PostgreSQL for seamless data management.
  • Implement containerization using Docker to ensure version control and smooth deployments through CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of experience in Python backend development, preferably in AI product environments, with expertise in leading architecture design from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of: FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Celery, Purest, LLM-specific libraries, AI/ML-related Python libraries, PostgreSQL, MySQL, database design best practices, containerization using Docker, CI/CD tools, and Git workflows.
  • Proven experience deploying and integrating LLM-powered applications into production, with a strong understanding of software engineering best practices and experience conducting code reviews.
