Software Developer Role

Job Description:

As a software developer, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and a large, rich dataset. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality services, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  2. Proficiency in service development frameworks and technologies such as Java or Node.js.
  3. Experience in .NET/C# is preferred.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to contribute to the design and evolution of the services architecture, ensuring security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  5. Manage deployments as needed, including software upgrades, hotfixes, or emergency patches.
  6. Handle customer escalations and CI issues during business hours, considering time zone alignment.
  7. Maintain infrastructure, ensuring services like Redis, RDS, Elasticsearch remain performant and do not consume unnecessary resources.
  8. Support compliance and certifications, including Google OAuth, SOC 2 ISO.
  9. Create robust RESTful APIs and integrate with external services, ensuring data consistency and security.
  10. Work with various database systems, including SQL or NoSQL, to design efficient data models and access patterns.
  11. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in services, optimizing code and infrastructure as needed.
  12. Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and reliability.
  13. Investigate and resolve issues reported in production, providing timely solutions to ensure system stability.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  2. 2+ years of experience as a backend developer, with a strong focus on service development.
  3. Proficiency in service development frameworks and technologies such as Java or Node.js.
  4. Experience in .NET/C# development is preferred.
  5. Solid understanding of service architecture principles and best practices.
  6. Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
  7. Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data modeling.
  8. Able to work independently and deliver excellent results in short timelines.
  9. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
  10. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  11. Experience with a public cloud platform.
  12. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  13. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
