Job Title: Cybersecurity Strategist
This is a senior role in our cybersecurity team where you will lead the Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) process for our organization. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on security assessments for various components of our infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and risks through manual and automated testing. They should also have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to present technical reports to non-technical stakeholders.
The job involves hands-on testing as well as strategic leadership responsibilities. You will manage a team of VAPT professionals and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary tools, skills, and best practices to perform their duties effectively.
You will be required to stay updated with the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat intelligence. This role requires industry certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, CEH, GWAPT, GPEN, or CISSP. Preferred qualifications include experience managing or mentoring VAPT teams, exposure to DevSecOps, and familiarity with regulatory requirements and audits.
We are looking for an expert who can develop and implement a comprehensive VAPT strategy aligned with our business goals. The selected candidate will work closely with application owners, DevOps, IT, and other teams to ensure remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field and at least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 4 years focused on VAPT. Strong knowledge of tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, Qualys, Nikto, Wireshark, etc. is essential.
Azure/GCP/AWS certifications are preferred but not mandatory. We offer a challenging role with opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic environment.
About the Role:
This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid/on-site work mode as per business requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end VAPT projects across applications, networks, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
- Manage a team of VAPT professionals, mentoring junior members and reviewing technical deliverables.
- Define and implement VAPT strategy, methodology, tools, and best practices aligned with business goals.
- Identify security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and risks through manual and automated testing.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to prioritize testing efforts.
- Develop and present technical reports to stakeholders, including risk severity and recommended mitigations.
- Coordinate with application owners, DevOps, IT, and other teams to ensure remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat intelligence.
- Manage third-party VAPT vendors and ensure quality and compliance of their deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards (OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.).
