Snowflake Data Engineer Position

Top-tier professionals are sought after to take on the role of a highly skilled Data Engineer, focused on designing and maintaining large-scale data systems using Snowflake.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures.
  • Data Modeling: Develop data models with clustering keys and optimize micro-partitioning to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Real-time Ingestion: Implement Snowpipe for real-time ingestion and external tables for data lake integration.
  • Complex Transformations: Develop JavaScript/SQL stored procedures and UDFs for complex transformations.
  • Data Analysis: Write complex SQL queries with window functions, CTEs, and pivots to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Cost Control: Manage multi-cluster warehouses and implement resource monitors to optimize costs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on Experience: Proven experience in Snowflake development, including designing and implementing data pipelines, data modeling, and real-time ingestion.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Snowflake SQL skills, basic JavaScript stored procedures, and working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots), warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, query optimization, RBAC, data types, semi-structured data (JSON/XML), and basic knowledge of SnowSQL CLI and Snowflake web interface.
