Job Title: Release Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Release Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of releases across various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  • Work closely with development, QA, operations, and product management teams to ensure alignment and preparedness for upcoming releases.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to optimize workflows and efficiency.
  • Coordinate deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS), ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
  • Drive automation practices to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  • Track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the merging of validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
