Electrical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of switchgear projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical specifications, single line diagrams, and project management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the execution of switchgear projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Study technical specifications, single line diagrams, and GA drawings to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Prepare project schedules, material submittals, and progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Supervise switchgear assembly, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Procure and deliver project materials and components on time, ensuring minimal delays or disruptions.
  • Conduct site coordination for installation, cable termination, testing, and commissioning of switchgears, ensuring electrical safety and quality norms are adhered to.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to protection schemes or interlocking, providing timely solutions to prevent project delays.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2-7 years of experience in project execution or design of LV/MV/HV switchgear panels.
  • Hands-on knowledge of switchgear components and protection devices.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of IEC, IS, or IEEE standards.
  • Familiarity with protection relays from leading manufacturers.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, MS Project/Primavera, and testing tools.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently at project sites or client locations.
