Procurement and Vendor Development Specialist

We're looking for a Procurement and Vendor Development Specialist to lead sourcing and supplier management for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in vendor evaluation, precision engineering, and procurement strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Source and onboard vendors for machined parts, hydraulics/pneumatics, sensors, controls, and custom fabrication
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, technical capability assessments, audits, and site visits
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align sourcing with product development needs
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery, and quality agreements
  • Track vendor performance and manage corrective actions
  • Identify supply chain risks and drive optimization strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical or Production Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in vendor development/procurement (preferably in automation, machinery, or precision manufacturing)
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
  • Skilled in supplier audits, ERP tools, and contract negotiations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with reputable manufacturing companies in the region
