Private Cloud Engineering Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned professional to deliver high-quality Private Cloud Engineering consulting services to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, infrastructure as code, and VMware technologies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with client engineering teams on various VMware projects, including migration, automation, containerization, and transformation.
  • Develop infrastructure as code using vRealize Automation to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and set up VMware environments to meet client requirements.
  • Meet client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and manage communication in case of issues.
  • Configure and maintain storage and backup systems, monitoring, and alerting for multiple clients.
  • Interact with teams and customers across different time zones for 24-7 support, Linux/Windows administration, automated deployments, and scripting.
  • Participate in work sessions with clients and internal teams to transform their applications.
  • Complete technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Managed Private Cloud, including cloud-native approaches, strong networking background, PaaS, IaaS, best use cases, and key components.
  • Experience with DevOps Methodologies and CI/CD tool-chains to ensure efficient and scalable solutions.
  • 8+ years of experience in a development or infrastructure operations team for critical IT infrastructure.
  • High-availability and high-performance technologies, including Rackspace Products (SDDC, RPC-V).
  • VMWARE Technologies, Microsoft Windows or Linux System administration experience, storage and backup knowledge, databases, and caching layers.
