Operational Excellence Specialist

About this Role:

The Operational Excellence Specialist will drive a focused effort to enhance operational effectiveness and profitability for global manufacturing sites and processes. This involves collaborating with leadership teams to develop and lead performance transformations that improve operational excellence, systems, and overall drive a continuous improvement culture.

Main Responsibilities include developing and implementing cost-saving projects through operational efficiencies, establishing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) programs, conducting diagnostics and value stream mapping exercises, and promoting the use of proven tools and approaches to achieve manufacturing excellence.

In addition, the role requires ensuring sustainable improvements, leading and mentoring team members, and participating in self-development activities and training others.

This position demands a strong scientific background, extensive previous experience in implementing Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement projects in manufacturing environments, and certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Key Skills required are technical skills, initiative, project management skills, impact and influence skills, and change management experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline is mandatory
  • 5-8 years' experience in project/program management, Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement, or consulting roles is required
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology field is highly preferred
