Job Title: ESG Sustainability Transformation Specialist

Location: Gurgaon

Are you a seasoned expert in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters? Do you have a passion for driving sustainability transformations within organizations?

We at KPMG India are seeking a highly skilled ESG Sustainability Transformation Specialist to join our team. As an ESG Sustainability Transformation Specialist, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complex landscape of ESG issues and develop effective strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess strong domain knowledge and understanding of business processes related to ESG material topics, including regulatory compliance such as CPCB, MoEF, IFC performance standards, Factories and Labor regulations.
  • Have a deep understanding of reporting standards such as UN-BHR, BRSR, GRI, TCFD, SASB, UNPRI, GIIL etc.
  • Knowledge about ESG regulations in India and global markets.
  • Have worked across industries (Pharma, Chemicals, Electronics and other manufacturing sectors, IT and IT enabled services), Infrastructure & Real Estate, Private Equity, Venture Funds, NBFC, Services (Health care etc).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (presentation skills) in English.
  • Understanding of IT systems, Knowledge of MS office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc).
  • Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous long periods of time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in human rights and labor rights.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG issues and solutions.
  • Experience in reporting standards.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate in Environmental Sciences / Sustainability Management + Graduation in Engineering (Mech. / Elec. / Civil / Electronics)
