Chief Beverage Formulator

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the research and development of our beverage products. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our company's offerings and work closely with our founders, marketing, and operations teams.

• Develop and implement an innovation roadmap for beverages aligned with our brand vision.
• Establish and lead a research and development function (scientists, food technologists, lab partnerships).
• Stay ahead of global beverage trends, functional ingredients, and health sciences.

• Create and optimize beverages for nutrition, flavour, cost, and shelf-life.
• Innovate with functional ingredients (proteins, adaptogens, botanicals, natural sweeteners, probiotics, etc.).
• Conduct pilot trials, sensory studies, and consumer testing before scaling.

• Ensure FSSAI compliance for all products and validate nutrition/health claims.
• Manage food safety testing, certifications, and quality standards.

• Partner with manufacturing units and co-packers to scale formulations.
• Solve for stability, packaging, and supply chain compatibility.

• Work closely with Marketing for claims, positioning, and product storytelling.
• Collaborate with Operations/Finance on cost optimization and sourcing.
• Present innovation updates to founders and investors.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or PhD in Food Technology, Food Science, or Nutrition, with a proven track record of developing and launching beverage products. They should possess expertise in food chemistry, sensory science, nutrition, and functional ingredients, as well as strong knowledge of FSSAI and international regulations.
