Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at BeFiSc. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial analysis, with a specific focus on bank statement and Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, assist in managing and analyzing bank statements, and support the calculation, filing, and analysis of GST obligations.

Main Responsibilities:

- Review and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to transactions and balances.
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations.
- Analyze and report on cash flow, ensuring alignment with financial records.

- Ensure accurate calculation and reconciliation of GST on sales and purchases.
- Prepare and file GST returns within the statutory deadlines.
- Support internal and external audits related to GST transactions.
- Maintain accurate records for GST inputs and outputs, ensuring compliance with regulations.

- Assist in understanding financial statements, ensuring they comply with accounting standards.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in providing detailed financial insights to management.
- Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders, focusing on bank activities and GST-related transactions.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for improvement.
- Develop financial models to predict future cash flows, revenue, and expenditure related to banking and GST obligations.
- Prepare forecasts for cash flow, ensuring that GST liabilities and credits are appropriately accounted for.

- Suggest improvements for internal processes related to bank reconciliation and GST management.
- Implement best practices to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., tax, accounting, and finance teams) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Provide support to senior financial analysts or management as needed, offering insights into bank statement and GST data.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Accounting Assistant, or in a similar role with a focus on bank reconciliation and GST.
- Strong knowledge of GST regulations and experience with GST reporting and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and tax laws is a plus.
