Research Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Support Specialist to contribute to our research initiatives at Scry AI.

The ideal candidate will assist in gathering and analyzing information, running structured evaluations, and producing concise briefs that inform product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and client solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate problem statements into research questions, hypotheses, and deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough literature reviews across academic papers, standards, and industry reports.
  • Map competitors and adjacent solutions with feature matrices and benchmarks.
  • Collect and clean data from trusted sources and public datasets.
  • Run structured analyses in spreadsheets or Python or SQL to validate hypotheses.
  • Assist in evaluation runs for models or prompts or extraction pipelines and summarize results.
  • Produce research briefs, one-pagers, and slide summaries with citations.
  • Maintain research logs, assumptions, and references for auditability.
  • Create visuals such as tables, simple charts, and process diagrams to explain findings.
  • Curate a searchable knowledge base of papers, links, and internal notes.
  • Track source provenance, licensing, and usage restrictions.
  • Follow privacy, security, and ethical guidelines for data handling.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in research, analytics, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in secondary research, note-taking, and citation management.
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and comfort with pivot tables and basic formulas.
  • Working knowledge of Python or SQL for basic data wrangling is an asset.
  • Clear writing skills with the ability to produce concise, structured summaries.
  • Familiarity with BFSI concepts or enterprise software ecosystems is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to AI or data workflows such as information extraction, evaluation metrics, or prompt testing.
  • Experience building competitor landscapes and VC funding maps.
  • Basic visualization skills in matplotlib or spreadsheet charts.
  • Understanding of compliance and risk themes relevant to BFSI.
