Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Design Engineer. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for designing and preparing working drawings for HVAC systems in commercial and light industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and comprehensive HVAC working drawings that meet project standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to ensure seamless integration and coordination.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues with site teams, providing timely solutions to ensure project progress.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and drawing logs, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
  • Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor productivity and contribute to QA/QC processes, driving continuous improvement.
  • Identify additional work and communicate effectively with the Project Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, including chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, and smoke control.
  • Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence requirements.
  • Proficiency in HVAC calculations and software (e.g., HAP).
  • Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of related MEP systems.
