Commerce Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Commerce teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Mass Media and Communication (MMC) to students in grades 11 and 12.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the school's corporate strategy, utilizing a range of teaching aids and resources.
  2. Prepare thoroughly for each lesson, reading through plans and attending relevant workshops as necessary.
  3. Teach according to instructions given in the lesson plan, using various teaching methods and activities to promote active student learning.
Student Administration:
  1. Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment, encouraging students to respect their peers and teachers alike.
  2. Adjust teaching approaches to cater to the diverse needs of all students, taking into account their interests, abilities, and learning styles.
Classroom Functioning:
  1. Perform daily tasks such as maintaining records, checking student diaries, and providing feedback on classwork and homework.
  2. Correct assessment papers and provide quality feedback to students in a timely manner.
  3. Organize and implement special events within the school, promoting student engagement and participation.
General Administration:
  1. Maintain accurate records, including log books, academic calendars, and student portfolios.
  2. Assist in updating records related to parent-teacher meetings, extracurricular activities, and school events.
  3. Help maintain lists of extracurricular activities and update details of inter-house competitions and house points.
