Vehicle Body Systems Function Owner

Job Description:

  • Responsibility encompasses the design, development, integration, validation, and performance of body-related vehicle features from concept through production and post-launch support.
  • The function owner for Body Systems is accountable for defining, developing, and managing the electrical and electronic architecture of vehicle body systems which includes body control modules, lighting, doors, windows, mirrors, wipers, keyless entry, and other comfort and convenience features.
  • This position requires ownership of the end-to-end functional architecture of body systems. Definition and management of system and subsystem requirements (functional and non-functional) are integral responsibilities.
  • System-level definition, requirements from EE, SW, ME, and support for EE, SW architecture design, integration at system and component levels are also critical aspects.
  • Effective collaboration with stakeholders through system V development from concept to launch, including design reviews and CFTs, is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Rich experience across Closures, Interiors, Safety etc. as respective function owners.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Codebeamer, Preevision, CAMEO, Github, JFROG etc.
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe etc.
