Job Title: Database Administrator

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Configure and manage database storage, including tablespace management and data movement utilities.
  • Implement backup and restore strategies, including online and offline backups.
  • Monitor database health using tools and perform troubleshooting tasks as needed.
  • Perform database maintenance, including upgrading versions, rollback planning, and creating definitions of logical data structures.
  • Analyze alerts and logs to identify and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with high availability, Linux/Unix, and replication setups.
  • Ability to work with complex database configurations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in database administration or related field.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
