Overview

We are seeking a skilled Prepress Graphics Technician to join our team at HikeOn Technologies Private Limited. This senior-level position involves overseeing all tasks related to prepress production, ensuring the highest quality output for our printing services.

Job Description

As a Prepress Graphics Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and managing print jobs, ensuring that they meet our high standards for format, appearance, and layout. Your expertise in preparing artwork for high-volume printing, knowledge of color separations, press layouts, and print specifications will be crucial in delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as safety protocols.
  • Convert supplied files into final proof files, applying minimum print specifications as necessary.
  • Output proofs and convert approved proof files to final stepped files for plate output.
  • Use our management system to complete evaluations, communicate directions, and set up notes.
  • Review finished files, including completion of QA checklists.
  • Interact with customer account representatives or management regarding job specifications or special requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and deploy new automation for optimized production.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Attend department meetings and internal training classes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A college degree, preferably in a field related to the printing industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a prepress environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks.
  • Intimate knowledge in preparing/planning artwork for high-volume printing.
  • Knowledge of color separations, press layouts, and print specifications.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with Esko Automation Engine and Esko ArtPro.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Full color vision (no color blindness).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • B-1 Visa for occasional travel to the United States.
