Strategic Innovation Leader

We are seeking a seasoned innovation strategist to spearhead the identification and development of emerging business opportunities.

  • Opportunity Identification & Landscape Analysis:
    • Continuously scan the IoT ecosystem to identify novel technologies, new business models, competitor moves, and untapped market spaces.
    • Develop insightful research reports on long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to our current operations.
  • Market Validation & Feasibility Assessment:
    • Design and execute rigorous validation processes for new opportunity hypotheses, leveraging primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.
    • Develop robust financial models and business cases to assess market size, potential ROI, and strategic value of new opportunities.
  • Strategic Incubation & Business Development:
    • Lead the initial incubation phase for validated opportunities, defining product-market fit, building MVPs or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.
    • Coordinate cross-functional resources to accelerate the incubation process.
  • Ecosystem Engagement:
    • Nurture a network of external contacts (startups, academics, industry experts, venture capitalists) to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.
  • Strategic Communication:
    • Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership to inform strategic investment decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy role such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases from scratch.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity, developing structure around poorly defined problems.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
