Director of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our sales efforts and develop customized risk management solutions for large and mid-sized organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in risk management, specifically third-party risk management initiatives. They will establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to fully understand their unique risk management needs and align our solutions with their organizational goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customized risk management solutions.
  • Oversee comprehensive risk assessments of complex outsourcing relationships and contracts.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry standards.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to evaluate and analyze third-party vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sales Leadership: Drive sales efforts for TPRM solutions by engaging with potential clients, identifying opportunities, and demonstrating how our offerings can address their specific risk management challenges.
  • Customized Solutions Development: Create and implement tailored third-party risk management frameworks in accordance with client objectives and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strategic Insights: Provide expert insights to senior leadership regarding the integration of TPRM solutions into broader organizational strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Client Engagement: Interact directly with senior stakeholders, including CIOs, CISOs, CFOs, CROs, and COOs, to communicate best practices in TPRM, share valuable insights, and identify potential risk exposures.
  • Risk Assessments: Oversee comprehensive risk assessments of complex outsourcing relationships and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as OCC, ECB, and CPS230.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry standards, continuously assessing compliance and developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with third-party engagements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and analyze third-party vendors, addressing financial, operational, technical, and reputational risks associated with their engagements.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage industry-leading technologies such as Archer, OneTrust, and ProcessUnity to enhance TPRM processes and improve overall efficiencies.
  • Innovative Practices: Investigate and report on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics within the TPRM landscape, advising on potential initiatives and technologies for optimizing risk management practices.
  • Training and Development: Lead training sessions and workshops on TPRM best practices for stakeholders throughout the organization, fostering a culture of risk awareness and proactive management.
  • Program Monitoring: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the TPRM program, providing regular updates to senior leadership and making recommendations for enhancements.
