Chief Medical Coding Director

The ideal candidate will have over 17+ years of experience in medical coding, with a proven track record of managing large teams of coders. They should be certified from AAPC or AHIMA, possess strong leadership capabilities, client handling expertise, and an in-depth understanding of the healthcare and medical coding industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of daily operations including workload, staffing, hiring, performance evaluations, training, and quality control.
- Development of long-range and short-term objectives, plans, and programs for implementation.
- Support in budget planning, development, and control, encompassing staffing costs, capital equipment, and operational expenses.
- Evaluation of innovative strategies and changes in programs, policies, and procedures to enhance the coding unit's performance.
- Design and implementation of systems and methods to improve data accessibility, identify problems, assess solutions, and prepare administrative reports.
- Monitoring of the coding compliance program, coordination of educational and training initiatives related to the coding compliance program.
- Ensuring dissemination and communication of regulatory updates, policy changes, and guideline modifications, conducting audit efforts, and coordinating monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy.
