Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled US Indirect Tax Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring compliance with indirect tax regulations, managing tax filings, and supporting tax audits.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our global tax operations.

Responsibilities include supporting the review and management of excise tax returns / processes for various EU countries, assisting with managing and maintaining indirect tax and customs processes, including the review of periodical indirect tax returns for EU countries, managing relationships with third party service providers and tax authorities across EU, and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in pan-European VAT compliance.
  • A bachelor / master degree in accountancy, tax or equivalent degree.
  • Indirect Tax compliance knowledge is essential.
  • Knowledge in custom regulations / compliance is desirable.
  • Experience in liaising with EU Tax authorities and with interpretation of local and EU Indirect Tax legislation is essential.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is essential.
  • French or Italian or German languages is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in tax compliance, such as automation tools or gen AI solutions.
  • Professional certifications like CPA or CMA are a plus.
  • A team player with an independent and flexible work attitude.
  • Ready to adapt to international practices.
  • Confident in communicating with others.
  • Able to solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Interested in VAT & Customs and wants to develop further in the field.
  • Excellent in English (corporate language) writing and speaking with the ability to present complex subject matter clearly.
  • A second language (German, French, Spanish or Italian) is of advantage.
