Job Title:

Storage Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at diverse-lynx. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and upgradation of NetApp clusters using FC and ISCSI protocols.

  • Install, configure, and maintain NetApp clusters using FC and ISCSI protocols
  • Administer Hitachi storage systems and Cisco SAN switches
  • Have strong working knowledge of NetApp, Hitachi, and Cisco switches administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in disaster recovery and recovery solutions
  • Good knowledge of storage management tools like Hitachi Ops Center, Hitachi Storage Navigator, and NetApp oncommand manager
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis of storage infrastructure
  • Understand storage architecture and hardware

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and configure various file systems through networks using NAS and SAN methodologies
  • Identify and analyze technical issues and troubleshoot them
  • Firmware upgrade and zoning on switches and storage technologies
  • Expertise in allocating storage from NetApp cluster mode NAS/SAN using NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FCP
  • Data compression and deduplication to compress duplicate data objects
  • Expertise with Snapshots, SnapMirror, Snapvault, and NetApp management tools
  • Performance monitoring, problem-solving, task prioritization, communication, and organization skills
  • Able to work in a deadline environment and efficiently work in a team or individual tasks
  • Experience in working on major incidents and problem management
  • Establish, maintain, and manage delivery support teams from daily operations
  • Ensure client satisfaction with operational and storage support
  • 24x7 on-call support for troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and integration of NetApp filers with Windows and UNIX environments
  • Experience with CIFS, NFS, and LUN management
  • Managing quotas and permissions
  • Managing disks
  • Support for disaster recovery processes
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve storage infrastructure
  • Provide on-call support rotation for critical issues outside normal business hours
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating detailed documentation and diagrams
  • Adhere to agreed SLAs and understand ITIL V3
