Job Description

  • Our team is seeking a skilled General Ledger Specialist to join our organization. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of general ledger tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, including accruals, depreciation, provisions, and prepayments, while adhering to company policies and deadlines.
  • Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations, guaranteeing timely completion and prompt follow-up on unexplained or unreconciled items.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to provide insights into business performance.
  • Collaborate closely with local teams, Group Accounting, and FP&A teams to conduct detailed analysis of monthly business results.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with end-to-end process visibility, offering guidance and support to the team as needed.
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather transaction-related information and investigate unreconciled items.
  • Compile and prepare documentation for external and internal audits requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong accounting expertise in own area of work and related areas.
  • Familiarity with SAP through proven work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Broad and deep theoretical understanding of job function.
