Job Title: IBM WAS & MQ Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IBM WAS & MQ Administrator to join our team at Tekgence Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM MQ.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and configure IHS and plugins in silent and GUI mode
- Install and configure WAS V9 in silent and GUI mode
- Install and configure MQ V8, V9 in silent and GUI mode
- Experience of patching of IBM MQ in silent and GUI mode
- Experience of patching of WAS, IHS and plugins in silent and GUI mode
- Experience of SSL configuration in WAS IHS and MQ
- Experience of Jython scripting for task automation
- Experience of shell scripting for task automation
- Experience of Windows batch scripting for task automation
- Experience of MQSC (IBM MQ scripting)
- Experience of Linux and Solaris administration (basic)
- Experience of basic network commands
- Experience of troubleshooting IHS, WAS and MQ issues
- Ability to manage alone and take end-to-end responsibility
- Good to have knowledge of any programming language (C/C++, Java, Python)

Requirements:

- 7+ years of relevant experience in IBM WAS and MQ administration
- Experience of working with various teams in coordination to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to raise PMR with IBM for issues
