About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Specmax Technologies Pte Ltd. The ideal candidate should have expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, system maintenance, and cybersecurity.

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for frequent travel between Chennai, Ahmadabad, and Singapore for system setup, maintenance, and technical support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Support & System Maintenance
    • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN setups.
    • Perform OS updates, software installations, antivirus management, and hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and servers.
    • Implement reliable backup solutions and ensure data integrity and protection.
    • Email Configuration & IT Security: Set up and manage email accounts, firewalls, access controls, and cybersecurity measures to mitigate risks.
    • IT Infrastructure Setup: Install and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, servers, printers, and other IT peripherals.
    • Remote & Onsite IT Support: Provide technical assistance to employees across multiple locations.
    • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and protect against potential cyber threats.
  • Network & Server Management
    • Design and implement network architecture for optimal performance and security.
    • Manage cloud services, virtualization, and remote desktop solutions.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
    • Assist in server setup, administration, and maintenance (AWS, Synology Drive).

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, routers, switches).
    • Experience in Windows & Linux system administration and Synology Drive.
    • Knowledge of data backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
    • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
    • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and IT compliance.
    • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or a related field.
    • Minimum years of experience in IT support, networking, or system administration.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and remote access tools.
    • Experience in IT asset management and documentation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel between India and Singapore for IT support and project coordination.
  • Ability to manage remote IT support and collaborate with international teams.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
