VFX Mentor Job Summary

As a highly experienced VFX Supervisor, you will be responsible for mentoring and directing our artists in the field of visual effects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive Houdini software training from basic to advanced levels, focusing on film and advertising needs.
  • Develop and implement customized training programs to enhance individual skills among in-house VFX artists.
  • Share expertise as a VFX artist in global cinema, with a strong focus on effective look development techniques.
  • Provide solutions for integration between Houdini, Maya, and Blender or vice versa, ensuring efficient teaching methods.
  • Prioritize teaching RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a VFX Supervisor in film, animation, or TV series with a minimum of 5 years of Houdini experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of VFX workflow and production process, including compositing principles expertise (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Blender workflow, strong understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, artistic skills with high attention to detail, enthusiasm, and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language and portfolio demonstrating exceptional skills and creative approach.
