Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified Packaging Specialist with 15 - 20 years of hands-on experience in the field, should possess a Degree in Packaging. The successful candidate will be based in Mumbai. This role demands Strategic thinking, E2E project management capabilities & deep understanding in the following areas related to packaging:

  • Design to Value (DTV)
  • Value chain assessment and Cost savings
  • Packaging Sustainability
  • Packaging Process improvement
  • Procurement strategy including supplier management
  • Packaging Engineering & Mold management

Experience in FMCG, Pharma, Consumer Healthcare industries would be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the brief and key deliverables of a project and develop techno-commercial proposals.
  • Participate in proposal discussions with prospective clients and support technical explanation of the project construct.
  • Lead project execution as per plan once project is awarded with required time and resource planning.
  • Ensure periodic project discussions with client's team as per agreed cadence and provide required progress updates, MIS related to the project.
  • Executive the project effectively through strong design, strategic, analytical thinking and demonstrate deep domain expertise with Global mindset towards delivering significant value to client's project.
  • Ensure timeline completion of the project within target timelines and resource budget.
  • Provide periodic project updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Be updated with market developments and new innovations in the field of packaging, to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Understand best practices within the organization & outside the organization, support implementation as required.
  • Proactive engagement with clients and support in effective stakeholder relationship management.
  • Possess adequate knowledge on Regulatory and Quality standards of different geographies and ensure project recommendations comply the same.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team, responsible for team training and development.

Qualifications:

  • 15-20 years of proven experience in Packaging and Procurement roles.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with software and tools using SAP, Oracle or any other ERP system.
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, design, and procurement best practices.
  • Adequate understanding of Regulatory and Quality standards.
