We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join our team in Hyderabad. This role will play a key part in shaping the future of our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services, and driving technological advancements that enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for cloud infrastructure services, enabling the delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement cloud-based systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Develop and document operational procedures, policies, and best practices for cloud service management, guaranteeing compliance and process quality.
  • Represent the cloud engineering team in Continent IT, Continent Lodging Services (CLS), and Opening + Transitions Teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design approvals, UAT, Beta, Pilots, and deployment planning for cloud-based projects.
  • Partner with stakeholders from various disciplines to identify operational needs, review enhancements, prioritize specifications, and ensure timely completion.
  • Define requirements for cloud providers to implement suitable tools, software, applications, and systems supporting technology goals.
  • Establish methods and procedures for tracking technology quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
  • Address technology-related problems regarding system integration, compatibility, and multi-platform integration.
  • Define requirements for Service Providers to develop and implement key components, creating testing criteria to guarantee fidelity and performance of technology architecture.
  • Document the technology architecture and environment, maintaining a current and accurate view of the larger technology picture.

Managing Standard End-To-End Processes

  • Promote organizational awareness, understanding, and usage of enterprise standard end-to-end processes.
  • Support behavioral change management, communications, and training as needed to drive process and tool adoption, implementation, and compliance.
  • Track status of key milestones in the adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder groups to validate the effectiveness of standard processes and continuously improve process quality.
  • Work with Marriott teams to ensure that process-related activities address company needs.
  • Define corrective action for audit findings with stakeholders.
  • Resolve escalated issues.

  • Generate enthusiasm and understanding of the information security vision and how each role contributes to its achievement.
  • Ensure capabilities are developed and resources are aligned to support the strategy.

  • Creates and sustains a work environment that drives associate engagement and enables business success.
  • Ensures appropriate processes are in place and executed to drive collaboration and alignment within the team and with the broader IT organization.
  • Serves as a role model and ensures all information security leaders are visible and effective partners with IT counterparts, broader Marriott stakeholders, and service providers.
  • Manage budget as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience in Information Technology infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years supporting business services running in the public cloud.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer sciences or related field, or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.
  • 4+ years' experience in two or more of the following: Public Clouds, Amazon Web Services (AWS) / EC2, Microsoft Azure, SaaS, Private Cloud Infrastructure, OpenStack, VMware / vRealize / Vmware Integrated OpenStack.
  • 2+ years direct team management or team lead role.
  • 1+ years budget management or management of project financials.
