As a key player in our team, you will support the technical and operational lease accounting function to ensure complete and accurate financial close, internal, and external reporting, and the end-to-end lease cycle.

This role is highly collaborative and visible given the lease accounting risk to the financial statements and important stakeholders.

You will partner with other functional teams to create efficiency, automation, and standardization over the end-to-end process.

Responsibilities include shared service/centralized lease accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policy and procedures for the accurate and timely payment/billing of leases.

You will perform analysis of legal documents and determine lease classification in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.

Additionally, you will review lease classification testing in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842 and collaborate with senior staff on a regular basis.

Other responsibilities include completing month-end close processes including subledger work in CoStar, general ledger entries, and internal and external financial reporting deliverables, including reconciliations, roll forwards, footnotes, and controls.

Experience and qualifications include Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in accounting required, Chartered Accountant preferred, and minimum 3-4 years of public accounting or large multinational company accounting experience (property accounting preferred).
