Job Title: Automotive Closures Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced automotive closures designer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive design, with a focus on closures and exterior body panels. They will be responsible for designing and developing innovative closure systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop closure systems for automobiles, including front doors, rear doors, tailgates, engine hoods, and fender systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets performance, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, including 2D and 3D models.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions to continuously improve designs.
Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of experience in automotive design, with a focus on closures and exterior body panels.
  • Proficiency in CATIA and PLM software, such as Teamcenter.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and system documents, including DFMEA, DVP, DFA, and GD&T.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
